I’m delighted to find out that today we’ve been nominated for our very first award by the lovely About the Pout - thank you!
The award we were nominated for was the Liebster Blog Award. Basically with this one you need to post 11 things about yourself, answer 11 questions, write 11 more questions to be answered by those you nominate, and nominate 11 more bloggers for this award. (phew!)
11 Things About Me:
- My style icon is Jean Shrimpton
- My finger and toe nails are currently painted in acid yellow – I’m not sure why, it’s not very flattering
- I never take my makeup off at the end of the day (it’s mostly worn off anyway, and I wear semi-permanent mascara) I just wash my face and moisturise (and yes, wearing makeup in bed is no. 25 on the list of top 25 beauty blunders)
- If I could be anyone for a day, it would be Ginger Rogers whilst filming a movie with Fred Astaire
- I love swimming and dream of having a house where I could have my own swimming pool
- Favourite movie: An Affair to Remember
- I adore cheese, chocolate and spicy food
- I’ve been dying my hair for so many years that I don’t actually know what my natural hair colour is any more
- I love trees, big ones you can lie underneath on a sunny day
- My dream car is a 1980s Aston Martin V8 Vantage, it will be mine one day…

- Chocolate or Ice cream? Chocolate every time!
- Favourite TV Show? Hmm a tough one but it’s got to be Sherlock
- Favourite Accessory? It changes all the time, but right now it’s a pair of turquoise 1960s earrings I bought in a local vintage shop. They’re clip on and turn your ears green but I love them!
- Strong lip or power eyes? Always power eyes – big eyeliner over lipstick every time!
- Beach or Pool? Always the pool – I hate that feeling of sea salt on your skin at the beach
- Do you colour/have you ever coloured your hair (If so then what colour)? I’ve coloured my hair for so many years that I don’t know my natural colour any more – but I’m Nice N Easy Light Beige Blonde right now
- Have you ever had braces? No
- G-String or Full Brief? Full brief – I hate G-strings!
- Fake Tan, Natural Tan or No Tan? A little bit of each, any of these in moderation are fine!
- If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be? cheese and chocolate
- Celebrity crush? Lana del Rey - she’s super stylish!
